Project Designers play a vital role in shaping the vision and detailed plans that guide the team in bringing client projects to life. Responsible for creating precise and cohesive plan sets, Project Designers provide clients with tailored design solutions and product options for their renovations. They collaborate closely with estimators, project managers, and the production team to ensure projects are executed smoothly, on schedule, and within budget. A detailed and accurate plan set is the best way to get our whole team on the same page.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a clear vision and detailed plan sets for renovations for align the team with client goals
Scheduling and Managing meetings as needed with clients
Visiting the site as needed to measure and get all information needed to draw as-built existing drawings
Use company CAD software proficiently to create accurate designs.
Drawing a comprehensive plan set ready for building permits for our remodel projects
Leading the client through the client selections process
Scheduling and attending product selections shopping meetings
Providing a bid set of drawings to the estimating team for cost development
Finalizing design details and drawings for all unique project characteristics
At Blue Ridge Design Build, Project Estimators play an essential role in driving the success of projects from first steps through to contract. They lead the initial project consultations, gather comprehensive project scopes, and work alongside designers and production managers to develop accurate and clear job budgets that allow for successful and profitable projects
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct initial consultations with clients to discuss project needs and goals.
Gather and define the project scope, detailing requirements and objectives.
Work closely with designers to develop an accurate project scope.
Collaborate with production managers to determine feasibility and finalize budget estimates.
Create and present an estimated project budget to facilitate contract agreements.
Oversee the scope development process, ensuring consistency from initial consultation to contract stage.
The Production Manager at Blue Ridge is responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and execution of all construction projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations. This role includes managing job schedules, ordering materials, managing BRDB personnel, subcontractors, and facilitating communication between the team and clients. The Production Manager also supervises project progress, handles change orders, and ensures client satisfaction from project start to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage project schedules and timelines.
Write purchase orders, order materials, and monitor lead times on long lead items.
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors on long lead occasions and communicate project details to the team.
Supervise daily job activities, including job start-ups, inspections, and change orders.
Attend design meetings and familiarize yourself with projects in design to successfully bridge the gap between design intent and build team.
Conduct pre-completion and final walk-throughs with clients, handling any final adjustments or warranty needs.
As a Lead Carpenter at Blue Ridge Design Build, you will oversee and perform all on-site carpentry work as well as manage your project to ensure quality and client satisfaction. This role involves coordinating with subcontractors, maintaining job site logistics and safety, and actively managing project schedules, records, and inspections. Strong carpentry skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential to succeeding in this role.

Perform and oversee all on-site carpentry work, maintaining high standards of quality.
Manage project schedules, weekly plans, and job records, ensuring timely progress.
Coordinate materials procurement, ensuring timely and accurate orders and deliveries.
Supervise subcontractors, ensuring their work meets company standards and is completed on schedule.
Maintain job site safety, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards and client security.
Communicate effectively with clients and project managers, addressing any job changes or client requests.
The Carpenter position at Blue Ridge Design Build involves performing on-site carpentry work and supporting the production operations through a clean, efficient, and quality work flow. Working under the guidance of the Lead Carpenter, this role requires attention to detail in jobsite cleanliness, adherence to schedules, and careful handling of client property. You will be assigned to work alongside a Lead Carpenter and assist him and the rest of the team in the following ways.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform carpentry tasks and support the Lead Carpenter in job execution.
Understand and follow all job plans, specifications, and change orders, clarifying any discrepancies.
Assist with material orders and inspections, checking deliveries for accuracy and quality.
Maintain jobsite cleanliness and set up protective measures to safeguard client property.
Conduct project cleanup trash runs and material procurement runs.
Purchase and maintain a stock of personal power & hand tools for you to use on your assigned tasks.
The Laborer position consists of assisting Lead Carpenters with the manual labor tasks present on their projects. The Position is best suited for someone who is interested in having a continuously active job task that will teach and prepare them for a position in a carpentry role.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with all company self-performed tasks and provide assistance as asked to carpenters and Lead Carpenters.
Framing of projects including floor, wall, roof, & deck framing.
Siding & house wrap installation.
Material coordination, order pickups & deliveries.
Trash and job site cleanup on and across multiple project sites.
Assist with excavation tasks including footer excavations, digging new footers, dirt and debris removal.
Maintain a supply of basic tools and a toolbelt
