Randy, a Lead Carpenter at Blue Ridge, brings with him a background in both residential and commercial construction. He grew up in Shawsville, VA where he attended High School at Eastern Montgomery and now lives on a farm in the mountains of Floyd County.
Randy says “Hard work and the old ways of living have allowed me to learn, develop, and master skills to fix and build anything. It helped me gain a keen eye for detail and problem-solving which led me to be a professional craftsman and contribute my talent with a well-known and established firm such as Blue Ridge Design Build.”
Randy is self-taught and holds several certifications, including OSHA 30 & 10, First Aid, CPR, AED, Better Living Sunrooms, Aerial Lifts, and Rough Terrain Forklifts.
He loves the family feeling and welcoming hospitality that BRDB provides to its team and clients. Randy’s favorite construction projects are large complex and detailed ones that require significant planning to get it all right.
Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities such as riding motorcycles, dirt bikes, or ATVs. He finds peace and quiet while fishing rivers and streams or in the woods hunting or trapping. His weekends might consist of kayaking trips, camping, concerts, tending to his farm, or in a field at a bonfire.
Randy’s favorite home improvement store is “Lowe’s all Day!”
